I use www.Zillow.com and www.Postlets.net. Your home will be seen by real estate agents as well as individuals not represented.

I have sold homes from this sight. Zillow had more hits from November 2007 to today than www.Realtor.com. You will be instructed on how to sign up. You will need to download pictures to install.

www.Craigslist.com is free as well. Remember on Craigslist everyday or at least every other day "post" again to keep near the top and in view. Why? New postings from others each day pushes everything down. Keeping your "posting" current for that day will at least keep it on the first page.

am tired of working with agents who don,t make any effort. would really like to try on our own for abit.

craigslist has an easy to use real estate section. If you are close to a bigger city, you may get alot of viewers there.

http://www.fsbo.com/ -I’ve never personally used it, but I’ve recently seen links from Craigslist to this Site with additional pictures, info, etc. It’s a stand alone Site though- you don’t have to use w/ craigs list

Many local newspapers also post their classified ads online now too.

Community Webpages?

You can’t post "for sale" on your local freecycle group, but sometimes the freecycle groups have a second "local community chat forum" where you could get some local ideas.

I found a listing for a home but they didnt provide any contact info or price info

It may not be up for sale anymore. Houses run in the low $100 in that area. Here is a similar listing.

We cashed in our retirement funds in an effort to stay afloat. Instead its turning to be just a bandaid for the problem. people consulting us have said that we should stop paying our mortgage . Our lender wont work with us till we are deliquent. We have listed the home, and wish to save some money but, can we have a savings account if we are planning to short sale the home?

i have seen a lot of people be able to keep their retirement accounts but not savings accounts. And those consultants are right. The mortgage companies only agree to a short sale if they think it is in their best interest- so if you are not behind in your payments they are not normally interested in talking a bout a short sale.

They pull from the MLS. Once your agent gets you on the MLS you should be on realtor.com in less then 24 hours.
